According to a recent survey by the National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT), about 27 per cent of students in the country do not have a smartphone or laptop to attend online classes. On the other hand, 28% of students and parents believe that power outages are a major problem during online classes.

The survey involved a total of 34,000 students, parents, teachers and principals of CBSE schools, central schools and Navodaya schools, including 18,188 students. The survey covered all the subjects in which children have the most difficulty in online classes at home. According to the survey, Maths and Science subjects are facing difficulties. There are many topics in mathematics that are not possible in online study. Even in science, practical knowledge is needed to know many topics. These subjects pose difficulties for both teachers and students.
The NCERT survey found that 27 per cent of students do not have a smartphone or laptop for online study. Most of the students took the help of mobile for online learning in Corona Time. 36 percent of the students continued their studies from the book they had.
TV and radio were the least used during the epidemic. This device was not used due to lack of interaction between students and teachers.
About 17 percent of students found language study difficult in online study, NCERT said in the survey. Based on the NCERT survey, the Ministry of Education has issued guidelines for learning enhancement for students. It also includes a way to provide helpline numbers in community centers.
